Snowsports vs. VT

Got your loan? Good, here’s how to spend it.

The official Cardiff University trip, it’s back and bigger than ever. 300+ Cardiff students are taking over Val Thorens from 16th-24th Dec 2011, and we’re pulling out all the stops to make this our best trip ever. For the incredible price of £399 we’re heading to one of the world’s best ski resorts, the best nightlife, the biggest ski area and the highest altitude in Europe.

At 2300m the resort is snow sure, so climate change be damned, we’re getting our ski on whatever happens! Runs range from wide open rolling greens for beginners to ‘good lord I can’t believe this is a piste’ blacks for experts. Throw in the lift pass upgrade and you get access to the 600km of the 3 vallees ski area, the largest in the world. With an area that big the off-piste possibilities are virtually unlimited.

Of course it’s the après program that really makes the trip, from drinks deals in the base bar for your post piste pint to the biggest club in the Alps. We’ve got enough going on to ensure that the après ski turns into avant ski every night. We’ve got world class DJs lined up, outrageous fancy dress and of course the infamous mountain meal (seriously you cannot miss this one!). Speaking of après, we've only gone and got Pendulum to play for us! All included in the price of course. Other acts to be announced as soon as we get them 100% confirmed!
